Color: Let's hope the snow stays in the mountains well into early summer, to ward off the infernos of August.

Taken in western Montana's Swan Valley.

I love this scene. Well-known to me as we love to kayak on Holland Lake and Lindburg Lake. At least I think I know that mountain! Thanks for sharing.

we have never seen montana and can hardly wait to finally get over for a visit. i am guessing the best time would be late spring? we don't like hot weather.

quiet paths, you are right! This is south of the areas you are talking about, but right within range, so to speak!

sky, late spring is good but watch out for woodticks!
