Magical glimpse

Magical glimpse, originally uploaded by Bitterroot.

Thai Pavilion in Olbrich Gardens, Madison, Wisconsin. It was a gift from the Thai chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association to the University of Wisconsin. Apparently, this is the only building of its kind (called a sala) in the contiguous USA. There are many of these in Thailand, often found with Buddhist temples but also as way stations for travelers.
