We have many such remains in VT...I always loved coming across them in the woods. There is always the aura of lives lived.

We have Indian Paint Brushes here, red-orange and yellow.

Lovely sun set, reminds me of camping on Hermit Island in Maine.
Yes, the woods yield many surprises. Enjoy those paintbrushes!
