MB, I floated the river a few years ago. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. But I had never seen the canyon from up on the rim. Seeing the view in this photo, I kept thinking of what it looked like from down inside. It is such a different world.

Hi! Awesome picture! The canyon is kind of a reverse mountain--I am so oriented to mountains(going up), it is interesting to think in a new way(going down into the earth). IT was kind of fun as the picture was loading, as a band was added, it reflected the layers of the canyon. Have the wildflowers started yet?Celeste from DZWhistle

Hi Celeste - glad you like this. No wildflowers yet...it was still quite cold with patches of snow everywhere.
