The gleaners

The gleaners, originally uploaded by Bitterroot.
Taken in Iowa County, Wisconsin.

that improbable waddle -
moving punctuation
in the frozen field

Comments:
"Moving punctuation", how perfect. Wild turkeys are everywhere in VT, I see them in large groups picking at the fields all the time.

Love the black and white.

Oh, so that's what they are- wild turkeys! A very neat picture!

Thank you Pam and Regina!

Love the poem, perfect for this photo.

E ... I'd say you have a true gift with the short verse ... this one is so cool! I love the metaphor - the turkeys moving punctuation - makes me envision a typewriter - up close. watching the characters being slapped onto the page. they make sentences with the field stubble.
